Dear Family & Friends from South Africa November 14, 2011,
We seem to be unable to get our letter out on Sunday. It has turned hot here and I think we run out of energy. We went to church in Dundee yesterday. They are having their Primary Program next Sunday and I will play the piano for them. So, we practised for the program yesterday.
We have had the Patriarch stay with us Friday and Saturday night. He went to church with us in Dundee too. He is just a delightful person and we enjoy having him stay with us. He did two blessings in Ladysmith Friday night and five blessings in Dundee Saturday. We took him to lunch at the Talana Museum. We love going there for lunch. The food is always good. We also taught one of our piano students in Dundee on Saturday.
We had our Zone meeting in Newcastle on Tuesday. We left early to go by the fabric store. They are now doing construction on N11 and we have to add another thirty minutes to our travel time. We went out to lunch with the Ward's for Chinese food. We enjoy going to this restaurant. Our meeting started on time and ended close to time.
Our week has been rather quiet. We just taught piano on Tuesday and Wednesday. We cancelled Thursday because we only had one to teach and that is the one we taught on Saturday. We are trying to watch our K's which is the mileage we drive a month.
We our planning our Thanksgiving dinner for the Elders. They are all excited to come for dinner. They just like getting fed.
The Ladysmith Elders baptised an Indian and we are going to his house for curry Wednesday with the two Elders. We are looking forward to this dinner. We are learning to like Indian food, if the curry is not too hot.
We are still enjoying our mission. We got a wheel chair for a young lady, but the foam cushion wasn't covered. So, Elder Hudson volunteered me to make a cover for it. We have bought the material, so that is my project for this week.
Feel free to write us and let us know how things are going there. We love hearing from you. We send our love to all.
With love,
Sister and Elder Hudson
