Dear Family and Friends May 22, 2011
Another week has flown by. Our time here is going very fast and everyday is a new adventure. We were called and told we would be doing some transfers on Monday. I jumped out of bed Monday morning and started cleaning and getting the laundry out of the way. I was busy as a bee. Then at 12:30 Elder Hudson called Elder Ward because he was to be here at our place with two missionaries for us to take to Harrismith. He kindly told Elder Hudson transfers was Tuesday not Monday. One of these days we are going to be told the right information. So, anyway we did transfers on Tuesday. We took two Elders up to Harrismith where we were meet by two Elders who took our two Elders. We did not teach piano because we were late getting home.
Wednesday we had to run to Dundee to take the t shirts up to the ladies who are teaching the hygiene classes. The builder has started the work and he wanted to have Elder Hudson see if he was on track. Guess what! He wasn't doing the the foundation like the plans were drawn up. Elder Hudson had to tell him what he had designed. The people are very excited about getting these cement slabs to work on and they were telling the contractor how they would like for it to be. Elder Hudson said he must do it the way the plans are drawn. Our one student in Ladysmith did not show up for piano lessons. She is into some sports now and really likes to play the sports. The Ladysmith district met Wednesday morning and we had to miss that meeting. We did the tithing while we were at the church.
Thursday we went to the bank and taught piano in Dannhauser. Two of the boys played at church today in Dundee. They both had practiced hard since their lesson. At their lesson they were both a little rough around the edges. But I could tell they had practiced. Our little girl did not show up for the lesson. She was a church today and said she would be there next week. The branch presidents really enjoy having the youth play the piano in scrament meetings.
Friday and Saturday were both pretty quiet days. We had plan to go back out to Driefontein, but the family had sent word to Sister Adams they would not be home.
We hope everyone is having a nice summer because we are going into winter. We both have already had a cold, so maybe we can stay healthy the rest of the winter. We are having beautiful fall days. The night are chilly but the days are beautiful. We go outside to sit in the sun (also to warm up). The house will warm a little with the sun coming through the window.
We love you and miss you
Elder and Sister Hudson
